UBU is a musical collaboration and recording project by Mattia Mercuriali and Marco Trinchillo, born as a side project from their band Amycanbe.
They founded UBU during a period when Amycanbe were paused, partially due to pandemic, trying a different approach, studio, producer and without a band, having different singers and musicians as guests in the making of this record.
The album has been produced by UBU & Franco Naddei at “L’Amor Mio Non Muore” studio in Forlì, Italy in a period of 2 years between 2020 – 2021.
The 11 songs feature contributions by Hannah Saunders, FRNQ, Nicola Biondi, Pieralberto Valli, Hellis, Cleats, Lady Maciste, Paolo Gradari, Emma Perrot, Enzo Moretto, Francesca Amati.

Just after recording, and almost all the mixing were finished, Marco Trinchillo sadly passed away in his sleep aged 41, due to cardiac arrest.
The release of this record is for Marco and made possible by VITE, association by Marco’s family and friends, born with the aim of preserving Marco Trinchillo's photographic and musical work. We would like to enhance Marco's sensitivity to the world of young people and to the encounter with art through collaboration with artists
